The end of November is a great time to go to Europe because one of the continent’s best traditions, Christmas markets, are in full swing. From Hamburg to Zürich, town squares are transformed into winter wonderlands. Before you book your flight out of the country, consider a trip to visit Clifton Forge, Virginia. The Clifton Forge School of the Arts will host the 6th Annual Kriskindlmarkt. Plan your visit to CFVA, arts, entertainment, eateries, shopping & lodging.
FRIDAY, 17th ~ 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm. & SATURDAY, 18th ~ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.
KRISKINDLMARKT looks and smells like a European Christmas village. Last year we welcomed over 2,000 guests and we’ve grown into a “can’t miss” event in the Alleghany Highlands!
Enjoy “The Mill” (our repurposed 100+ year old lumber mill behind the School) filled with laughter, lights, holiday scents & cheer, shopping & entertainment! German Father Christmas might make a visit! Live music throughout the event. Dress warmly.
ARTISAN CRAFTS: Wood-turned bowls, cutting boards, fresh greenery, hand-made sweaters, felted alpaca hats, silk purses, blacksmith-forged items & jewelry, soaps & lotions, pottery, antique tiles, knit & crochet arts, photography, painted art, handmade jewelry, German Christmas carvings, candies & chocolate, decorative gourds, quiltings, designer wreaths, brooms & brushes, maple syrup & products. Henrietta Crandall will have her “Living Large” ladies for sale on note cards & 2018 calendars with proceeds to benefit the School.
